BROOK BINDUS

@brookb74

Brook comes to us by way of Pennsylvania and Michigan, and their hallowed trout streams and incredible smallmouth. After working years in the construction industry Brook has decided to step away from the high pressure, head down south, pursue his passion, and “live the dream.” Brook is a seasoned angler with a pedigree of experience on famous waters any of us would envy. Highly knowledgeable, and a pleasure to spend the day with; Brook is at home on small streams, medium, rivers and big waters alike. However, he is happiest pulling on oars and pointing out spots. We are very happy to add Brook, and his boat, to our quiver of guides here at Pisgah Outdoors. Click the link below to book with Brook!

ANNA DEINES

@anna_deines46

Hailing from the fishy state of Florida, Anna has quickly become one of our top guides at Pisgah Outdoors. Fly fishing since a young age, and taking every opportunity to grow and learn in the sport she has grown to become quite the fisherwoman. She spent the past few years working as a shop employee in middle FLA while traveling to fish across the US; including spending a large portion of that travel time here in WNC training and learning the area. Anna joined us in May of 2023 after graduating with a degree in business administration from Polk State, and has been an exceptional addition to our crew. If you are are interested in fishing with Anna you can’t get your bookings in now by clicking the button below.

HEATH CARTEE

@pisgah_outdoors

Heath is the owner of PISGAH OUTDOORS.  His approach to guiding is to meet the customer where they are at in their fishing, and leave them with a little more at the end of the day.  Heath fishes by feel, but teaches through method.  For Heath, fly fishing is a careful blend of science and art in which the angler first learns the why and the how, then through practice, gains the ability to make a difficult sport look easy.

Heath is more than happy to spend the day with a beginner, or even someone who wants to just try fly fishing; but his end goal is to instill a passion and to develop a relationship that will last for many years to come.

Becoming accomplished at the sport of fly fishing takes a long time and lots of practice.  Heath is dedicated to taking that journey with you, and to travel that road as far as you may take it.

While he runs the operation, handles the bookings, manages the website, signs the paperwork, and herds the cats; his first passion is guiding. Thanks to no cell service in the areas he prefers to work, he gets a chance every trip to let those less important duties fade away and focus on your day, your enjoyment, your growth as an angler, and his favorite part of the job.
